Anthem Chapel — Sunday School Volunteer

Goleta, CA

I volunteer in the Sunday School program at Anthem Chapel in Goleta, California. I began as a classroom helper with different elementary age groups and currently serve primarily as a first-grade teacher, leading lessons and age-appropriate activities. This experience has strengthened my leadership, organization, teamwork, and ability to engage children in a supportive learning environment.

“We appreciate all that Zita has brought to Anthem Chapel and the dedication she has to our church family.”
Michaela Jorgensen, Children’s Ministry Director, August 4, 2026

Volunteer Family Support — Home Program

I volunteered my time to support a Ukrainian family with a young child by developing and providing an individualized home activity program. I worked with the family to identify appropriate activities and provided guidance to the parents on how to incorporate them into the child’s daily routine. This experience allowed me to use my previous professional knowledge while supporting a family within my community.

“She took the time to explain the activities to us and provided practical ideas that we could continue using at home.”
